Author’s note: The Coke series is still on hold. Rest assured, however, that it will continue, and more parts will be written.
I’m trying to remember all the memories Precious and I shared. Of course, including our sexcapades.
I remember the girl but I don’t remember the feeling. . . Hehehe.
Most likely after this two-part story, balik Coke series na. Or it depends pa rin.
Anyway, this is somehow related to the Coke series.
The woman in this story became my ex-girlfriend while Precious and I were in a relationship.
Err, no. Hindi ko pala sila pinagsabay.
“Lift your head, baby, don’t be scared
Of the things that could go wrong along the way
You’ll get by with a smile
You can’t win at everything but you can try.”
THE NOTEBOOK
LENG and I crossed paths eight years ago or in 2013, nearly the same time noong naging kami ni Precious.
Classmate niya si Shaira, whom I mentioned in one of the chapters of the Coke series.
For reference, ito iyong part ni Shaira in one of the chapters of the Coke series:
Shaira hails from Dasmarinas, Cavite. Incoming fourth year college student ako noon and incoming sophomore naman si Shaira and Leng. They were enrolled with the same degree.
English majors like me.
69% siguro.
Pa-tweetums si Shaira, eh. But that time, she would stay in PUP and wait for me after my classes at night.
So much of Shaira, hanggang dito lang dahil walang nangyari sa amin.
On the other hand, Leng is a native of faraway municipality of Baras in Rizal province.
What I failed to do on Shaira I succeeded on Leng.
Kantot. Maraming beses ko siyang iniyot.
Maraming beses ko ring winasak. . .
Ang puso niya.
Ang pagkatao niya.
Since I was famous in my college heydays, I believe until now, Leng and I were friends on Facebook and she was also one of my followers on Twitter.
Panay ang likes ni Leng sa mga Facebook post ko at tweet and one of the keys why she was enamored with me was she was a volleyball fan— an Ateneo Lady Eagles supporter.
It came handy that I am a journalist, a sportswriter even when I was still in college I was already earning thanks to my passion for writing.
It was a big help lalo na sa chicks dati like in the case of Leng.
At 5-foot-3, maganda si Leng and malaman. Not thicc but not slim.
Sakto lang, 34D tits and has a nice ass. Iyong hugis puso na puwet kapag nakatuwad.
Pukingina.
Tisay din si Leng.
“INSIGHT!”
This word was written in all caps on the blackboard by our professor in Creative Writing in one gloomy Thursday night class.
“Keep in mind when you write, it’s important that your stories have insights. Kailangan may kaalaman, kabuluhan ang mga kuwento ninyo,” he said.
In the same year where all these things happened to me in 2013, Megan Young bagged a historic first-ever Miss World crown for the Philippines.Napaisip ako ngayon. Noon pa man, ang taas ng standards natin when it comes to beauty pageants.
Pero hindi kapag eleksiyon. Pilipinas, why do we keep on settling for “puwede na?”
We deserve so much better and so much more next year.
If we falter anew, anim na taon na naman tayong magdudusa.
G pa ba tayo for another next six years of misery?
“Hindi puwedeng sulat lang kayo nang sulat. Dapat may sense, may relevance, kahit ano pa iyang isinusulat ninyo.”
That was my best semester in college, grades-wise. We had Campus Journalism and Creative Writing subjects kaya it was really the time I shone in class.
Both 1.0 ako sa dalawang subjects na nabanggit.
But I did not graduate with flying colors in college dahil I dropped one subject, Physical Education pa na swimming noong second year ako.
Puta naman kasi. 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. ang swimming class every Friday noon.
It was a Saturday.
Last sem lang lagi mong kasama. Inihahatid mo pa sa Kalentong.”
“Sabagay nandiyan na si Precious. Hahaha!”
“Iginilid ko muna si Shaira. Alam niyo naman na matapang si Precious. Tangina, parang tigre, eh.”
That’s the key, men.”
Hehehe.”
Rona (CoEd)
Shaira (CoEd)
Bianca (Banking and Finance)
Joanna (Broadcast Communication)
Aero (Architecture)
Tel (CoEd)
Dee (CoEd)
Xy (Psychology)
Au (BSBA)
“Eh iyong outside PUP?” singit ng isang tukmol.
Ara (FEU)
Zel (UST)
Angeline (Ateneo)
Cess (EARIST)
Napanganga ang mga kaibigan ko sabay tawanan!
“Iba ka talaga, G! Hahaha!”
“Grabeng listahan iyan. Hayop ka!”
G’s Girls.
Honestly, ngayon while trying to recall, hindi ako sure, baka may nakalimutan pa nga ako.
Little did I know madagdagan ang listahan ko noon.
That notebook belonged to Shaira’s block.
May 1/2 index card sa loob with a photo.
Ang nakasulat:
“Leng” (real name withheld but this is her nickname) L (middle initial). A (surname).
“Hmmmmm. Maging like ko rin kaya si Leng?”
